Fall Athletics Ceremonies Shuffled, Postponed

Schedules for three of the Chadron State College athletic department’s annual fall traditions have been postponed to the spring of 2021, in an effort to produce more successful events.

Both the CSC Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and the ‘When Eagles Dare’ fall fundraising dinner will be held the weekend of April 24. The dates will center around a spring football scrimmage to be scheduled later.

In addition, the annual Homecoming festivities will take on a scaled-down look in the week leading up to the Eagles’ home football game versus South Dakota Mines on October 17 at 5 p.m.

A handful of student activities will still take place beginning October 14, including a socially-distanced viewing of the movie “The Waterboy” at Elliott Field.

However traditional Homecoming ceremonies, such as the student Homecoming coronation, pep rallies, as well as all Alumni events, are being postponed until 2021.

More details on each of the postponed events will be announced at a later date.
