Flags across the United States are flying at half-staff through sunset on Wednesday to honor the two U-S Capitol Police Officers who died as a result of last week’s riot at the Capitol.
All other Capitol Police officers and law enforcement officers across the country are also being honored by the action.
Officer Brian Sicknick died Thursday of injuries suffered during the riot while Officer Howard Liebengood committed suicide on Saturday.
President Trump and the nation’s 50 governors all issued proclamations for the half-staff recognition.
