Former Pres Sides With UW In Battle Over Release Of Records

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) – Former University of Wyoming President Laurie Nichols has asked a judge not to release university records to news organizations pertaining to the board of trustees not renewing her contract.

Nichols originally filed a motion to intervene in a lawsuit brought by several media outlets who allege UW officials withheld public documents about the decision.

The judge denied Nichols’ request to view the records before the decision on whether they should be released, which her attorney said led to her current desire that university’s denial of records requests be upheld.
