Funeral services for 74-year old Frederick Kindle are Tues, May 10, 2022 at 10:00 at Brother Rene Hall in Oglala

Burial follows at 2:30 at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD. Frederick was a veteran of the U-S Army. 

A one-night wake service starts Monday, May 9, at 2:00 at Brother Rene Hall in Oglala with evening services beginning at 7:00 PM and a military roll call to follow. 

Frederick Morris Kindle was born on September 29, 1947 in Pine Ridge, SD to Mark Kindle and Lucille (Little War Bonnet) Kindle.  Frederick made his journey to the Spirit World on April 26, 2022 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Frederick is survived by his daughter, Merlinda Yellow Cloud; sons, Tyrone Kindle, Darryl Yellow Cloud, and Todd Yellow Cloud; siblings, Katie Kindle, Kathy Starr, Minnie Kindle, and Audrey Kindle; grandchildren, Whitney Kindle, Mercy Lone Elk, Johnny Yellow Cloud, Bill Yellow Cloud and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Frederick was preceded in death by his parents, Mark & Lucille (Little War Bonnet) Kindle; significant other, Alvina Lone Elk; son, Wayne “Misun” Kindle; daughters, Belva “Babe” Kindle, Darlene Yellow Cloud, and Olivia Yellow Cloud-Cervantes; sister, Wanda Kindle; brothers, Ben Kindle and CK Kindle; paternal grandparents, King and Rose (Poor Elk) Kindle; and maternal grandparents, Jesse Little War Bonnet and Mary Little Spotted Horse.

Pallbearers will be Sylas Running Eagle, Evans Youngman, Jr. and All Veterans.

Honorary pallbearers will be all Vietnam Veterans, Family, & Friends.

  1. I have known Fred for years. He was one of my good customers at the auto store. May he rest in peace. My condolences to the family.
