Free Coronavirus Testing Returns To Chadron Next Wed

LINCOLN, Neb – Test Nebraska, the coronavirus screening program offering free drive-thru testing, is coming back to Chadron this coming Wednesday. The testing will be from 8-till-noon on the west side of Chadron Community Hospital.

Test Nebraska will be at the Alliance Fire Hall Thursday, the Panhandle Public Health District office in Scottsbluff on Friday and Saturday, and in Sidney a week from tomorrow at a site to be announced. The hours at each are 8-till-noon

To start the process, go online to testnebraska.com for screening to determine if testing is appropriate and to be given a testing time.

Meanwhile, Panhandle Unified Command confirmed 9 more cases Friday, 8 in Scotts Bluff County and the first in Sioux County. That brings the Panhandle total to 209 cases, but only 90 cases are active with 9 currently hospitalized. There have also been 2 deaths.

Statewide, after adding 17 deaths on Thursday, Nebraska Health and Human Services recorded 4 more Friday, putting the state total at 216. There were also 198 new cases for a total of 16,513 cases out of 137,536 tests.
