Gordon Not Ready To Relinquish Star Running Role In Denver

Loading

Melvin Gordon III skipped the Denver Broncos’ offseason program save for the mandatory minicamp this week. That’s nothing new for Gordon who traditionally skips voluntary team workouts during the offseason.

Gordon also never accedes his starring role in an offense, and this year is no different. Gordon says he told general manager George Paton when he signed a one-year deal to return to Denver that he’s not going to acquiesce his starting job to rising star Javonte Williams in 2022.

Gordon says he’ll fight for the starting job again when the team reconvenes for training camp in late July.
