Gordon-Rushville, Crawford, Hay Springs All Claim Medals At State – Correction

OMITTED IN ORIGINAL VERSION WAS 5TH BY GAGE MINTKEN OF HAY SPRINGS IN THE CLASS D BOYS LONG JUMP

    Gordon-Rushville picked up 2 medals yesterday on the last day of the Class C State Track Meet in Omaha on Saturday.

Franklin Johns took 3rd in the 800 and Aydon McDonald placed 4th in the 300 Intermediate Hurdles. McKinley Grover, who was 7th in the discus on Friday, just missed a 2nd medal as she finished 9th in the shot put. 

      Tyrah American Horse and Greg Johns each finished back in the pack in their respective 1600s while the boys 4×400 relay with McDonald, Franklin Johns, Jace Freeseman, and Austin Chile also ended well back.

     At the Class D meet, Hay Springs had 2 medalists with Greg Mintken 5th in the long jump and Dylan Raymer 6th in the boys 110 high hurdles.

Crawford had one medal winner Ty Brady claimed the 8th place medal Saturday in the boys 1600.

     Brady was also 11th in the 800 with teammates Carter Rudloff and Kiera Brennan not placing in the discus and girls 800, respectively. Hay Springs had the same results from Greg Mintken in the LJ and  Wes Jacobs and Mia Skinner in the boys and girls 800 meters.
