Gordon-Rushville, Hay Springs, Sioux County Pick Up Additional State Qualifiers

The Class C and D additional state track qualifiers were released over the weekend and more area athletes punched their tickets to Omaha.

Gordon-Rushville’s Aydon McDonald, who has already qualified in the 300m hurdles, added the 110m hurdles and the Mustangs 4x400m relay team, that includes McDonald, Wyatt Federsen,Franklin Johns, and Jace Freeseman, got the nod as well.

McKinley Grover picked up a 2nd event to her slate, adding the discus, to go along with the shot put.

Hay Springs’ Dusty Brien is headed to state for the first time ever as an additional qualifier in the 3200m.

Sioux County’s Rebecca Reece is headed back to state, this time in the 3200m run, and Kailey Klein added another event with the 300m hurdles in additional to the 100m hurdles.

The Sioux County girls 4x400m relay team of Britney Klein, Kailey Klein, Skylar Edmund, and Hannah Krein will also go to the state meet.
