Hastings College is pausing some in-person classes and all of its athletics this week because of a COVID-19 outbreak.
The school says 6 members of the college community tested positive for the coronavirus, leading another 54 to self-isolate or go into quarantine.
The college chose the suspension route to keep students on campus with remote learning while waiting to see how the situation plays out
The suspensions, including no sports practices or contests through Saturday, began Monday at 4:00 and are scheduled to end 9:00 Sunday morning, although that could change after Hasting College administrators review the situation on Friday
