Henry F Boltjes Jr  was born in Goshen County to Henry and Ida (Shindledecker) Boltjes on January 7, 1944. He died Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. 

Henry attended many grade schools as his parents were teachers in Eastern Wyoming. He graduated from Kemmerer High School in Kemmerer, Wyo, and in 1969 graduated from Chadron State College.

Henry married Beverly and had two children, Hod and Tricia. 

He taught in LaGrange, Wyo, and later owned businesses in Scottsbluff with his wife before returning to education.

Henry resumed as a teacher, moved up to principal, and finally became Superintendent at the Loneman School on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota before ending his career as a substitute teacher in Goshen County. 

He loved teaching and continued through the age of 75- known to many as Mr. B.

Henry’s loves were the state of Wyoming, the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, 57 Chevys, auctions and garage sales, and singing with the Sugar Valley Singers, but his true love were his 6 grandsons, his great grandson – Ben and great granddaughter – Iris.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ida and his wife Bev.

Henry is survived by his son Hod (Deb) Boltjes, daughter Tricia (Alan) Strauch and daughter Amy; grandsons: Taylor, Claire and Ben Boltjes, Nick Chitwood, Brock Chitwood, Caleb Boltjes, Zach, Melany and Iris Boltjes, Brant Boltjes, Jay Struble and Zoie Struble; his brother Herman and Cheryl Boltjes, Bob, Mary and David Kraft, many nieces and nephews, many beloved students and fellow auction attendees.
