Burial is at the Inestimable Gift Episcopal Cemetery in Allen, SD.
A one-night wake service starts Sunday, July 11, at 4:00, also at the Activity Center in Martin
Howard Lee Red Bear “Tasunke Ota Agli” was born on January 29, 1967 in Pine Ridge, SD to Isaac John Red Bear, Sr. and Mary Rose Crazy Thunder-Dillon. Howard made his journey to the Spirit World on July 4, 2021 in Martin, SD.
Howard is survived by his mother, Mary Rose Dillon; daughters, Alyssa Red Bear of Rapid City, SD, and Maryssa Red Bear of Box Elder, SD; son, Howard Red Bear II of Martin, SD; step-daughter, Caitlin Nelson of Martin, SD; grandchildren, Arik Amiotte, Issak Amiotte, Rilyn “Munch” Leftwich, Rhys Leftwich, Elisha DuBray, Eliah DuBray, Jayda Doyle, Caden Nelson, Ariella Nelson, and Aubriella Nelson; siblings, Debra (Steve) Johnson of Rapid City, SD, Mabel Eagle Heart of Allen, SD, Emmaline Eagle Heart of Martin, SD, Janet Eagle Heart of Rapid City, SD, Isaac (Erin) Red Bear, Sr. of Rapid City, SD, and Wayne (Robin) Lamb of Westminister, CO; and former wife, Jeannette Nelson.
Howard was preceded in death by his father, Isaac John Red Bear, Sr.; daughter, Erica Red Bear; and grandparents, Ben & Emma Brave Hawk, Rose DuBray Virtue, Isaac Red Bear, and Louis Crazy Thunder.
Pallbearers will be Corbin Romero, Gerard Brown Eyes, Darrell Marshall, Quentin Red Bear, Everett Cottier, Brylee Red Owl, Aarron Cuny, and Everette Wayne Bad Wound.
Honorary pallbearers will be All Friends & Relatives.
