The NCAA Outdoor Track West Preliminary Round wrapped up Saturday at Arkansas and Nebraska qualified 2 more athletes for the NCAA Outdoor Championships June 8-11 at the University of Oregon in Eugene.
All together, 11 Huskers qualified for the national meet by finishing in the Top 12 in their events during the 4-day Preliminary Round.
On Saturday, Jenna Rogers and Riley Masters both cleared 5-11-¼ in the women’s high jump. Rogers, the Big Ten indoor and outdoor champion, placed 7th at the Indoor Nationals while Masten’s making her first trip to a national meet.
Senior Ieva Turke had a personal best in the triple jump, but the 2-time Big Ten champion finished only 15th.
