Indictments Handed Down For Major SD Meth Ring

U-S Attorney for South Dakota Ron Parsons says 37 people from 6 states and Mexico have been indicted in a large methamphetamine trafficking network active in western South Dakota in 2019 and 2020.

The indictments are the result of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force investigation dubbed “Operation Say Uncle” – which Parsons says is part of the national effort to take drugs off the streets.

All but 3 of the 37 people charged have been arrested and 4 have already pleaded guilty to bringing or trying to bring multiple pounds of meth into the region.

Operation Say Uncle included more than a dozen law enforcement agencies from the local to federal levels, including local agencies in California, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, Utah, and Wyoming

:    There also 9 South Dakota agencies: the state Division of Criminal Investigation, Pennington and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Offices, the Rapid City, Deadwood and Spearfish Police Departments, SD Highway Patrol and OST Dept of Public Safety
