Inmate Serving Life Sentence Since 1981 Dies At Torrington Prison

The Wyoming Dept of Corrections says an inmate at the state prison in Torrington died Wednesday.

The department hasn’t said what killed Philip Taylor, but an autopsy was being conducted under standard policy to determine the cause of death.

Taylor, who was 8 days shy of his 72nd birthday, had spent the last 41 years behind bars serving a life sentence for 1st-degree murder in a Laramie County homicide.
