Funeral Services for 77-year old Irvin “Irv” Heiser of Chadron, NE, are Friday, October 22, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron with Dr Russ Seger officiating. 

Burial will be held at the Calvary Cemetery in Chadron.

Visitation will be held prior to the funeral starting at 9:00 while a luncheon put on by the Catholic Ladies will follow the funeral at 11:30 at the Assumption Arena.

A memorial will be established at a later date, but donations can be sent now to Chamberlain Chapel, Po Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.

Irvin “Irv” Heiser was born on April 18, 1944, in Portland, OR, and passed away on October 16, 2021 at his home in Chadron.

Irv moved to Chadron in February 1956 with his family. He graduated from Assumption Academy in 1962 and later Chadron State College.

Irv taught in Hay Springs for a few years before moving to Rapid City, SD, where he worked for Freeds Fine Furniture. After a few years, he moved back to Chadron to help out his mother. Millie Heiser, who owned the Bowling Alley. 

He did that for several years before he started working at the local Wal-Mart in Dec 1997. He never left and was still a Wal-Mart associate when he passed.

Irv loved his job so much, especially the people and his fellow associates, that nothing stopped him from going to work. He also enjoyed going to the Prairie Wind Casino and Deadwood on his days off.

He was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

Irv is survived by his brother Jim Heiser, three nieces: Kristina Cashon, Jodi (Brian) Kimmel, and Amanda Cashon (Fiance Dylan), one nephew Mike Gunwall, and two great nephews, seven great nieces, one great great nephew, one great great niece with one on the way. 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Millie Heiser, his sister Bernie Cashon and his nephew Anthony Cashon Jr.
