Graveside services for 52-year old Ivan Standing Soldier are Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 3:30 PM at the St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery near Pine Ridge, SD, with Mr Charles McGaa officiating.
Visitation precedes the services from 1:00-3:00 PM at the Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge.
Ivan Ray Standing Soldier was born on May 20, 1968 in Pine Ridge, SD to Donald Bordeaux, Sr. and Florence Standing Soldier. Ivan made his journey to the Spirit World on October 19, 2020 in Pine Ridge, SD.
Ivan is survived by his children, Tashina Standing Soldier, Lea Standing Soldier, Ashley Standing Soldier, and Angela Black Elk; siblings, Donald Standing Soldier, Jr., Bonnie Ghost Dog, Virginia Morrison, Gayla Spotted Bear, Josephine Standing Soldier, Phillip Standing Soldier, Sr., Darrell Standing Soldier, Sr., Walter Standing Soldier, Jr., Brenda Mesteth, and Joy Means; and grandchildren, Lillian & Lyric Black Elk, Meagan Curley, Anjelita Rouillard and numerous other grandchildren.
Ivan was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Bordeaux, Sr. and Florence Standing Soldier; and brothers, Kenneth Standing Soldier and Alan Standing Soldier, Sr.
Pallbearers will be Arlin Rowland, Phillip Rowland, Daniel Crow, Ron Blue Bird, Verdell Mesteth, Kenneth Mesteth, Myron Ghost Dog, Duane Ghost Dog, and Aldon Pumpkin Seed.
