Viewing Service precedes the funeral from 10:00 AM-Noon at the Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge, SD
James Francis Red Elk-Pacer (Comes First in Battle) was born on September 24, 1949 to Francis James Red Elk and Vida (Pacer) in Pine Ridge, SD. James made his journey to the Spirit World on January 1, 2021 at the I.H.S. in Pine Ridge, SD.
James is survived by his spouse, Charlene Pacer; daughters, Jamie Pacer and Patricia Pacer, both of Pine Ridge, SD; son, Charles Pacer of Colorado; sisters, Rhoda, Yolanda, Patricia, all of Ft. Worth, TX, and Karen of Pine Ridge, SD; hunka brother, Timothy “Ozzie” Pacer; nephew, Leonard Sias, Sr.; 6 grandchildren, Jymie, Julia, Charles Jr., Yamni, Lorelei and Charlena; and 2 great grandchildren, Maria and Dalondo.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Francis James and Vida (Pacer) Red Elk; sisters, Linda Sias, Mary Jo and Eileen Pacer; grandparents, Joseph, Mary and Fannie; and grandson, Ethan Pacer.
Pallbearers will be Charles Pacer, Jr., Yamni Pacer, Richard Little Bear, Jr., Bryan Catches, Leonard Sias, Sr., Wade Good Voice Flute, Julia Pacer, Jymie Behan and Joe Pourier.
Honorary Pallbearers will be All Friends & Relatives.
