A one-night wake service starts Monday, September 7, 2020, at 1:00 PM at the Mesteth residence in Pine Ridge, SD
Javon Gray Blacksmith “Hehaka Wambli Hoksila” was born on November 7, 2018, in Pine Ridge, SD to Frederika Blacksmith and Vine Eagle Elk. Javon made his journey to the Spirit World on August 30, 2020, at the Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
Javon is survived by his parents, Frederika Blacksmith and Vine Eagle Elk; grandparents, Jill Mesteth, Jen (Robert) Mesteth, James Mesteth, Grant Blacksmith, Marina Eagle Elk and Vine Hayes, Sr.; great grandmother, Thelma Mesteth; aunts, Chantelle Eagle Elk, Michelle Eagle Elk and Aubry Two Two; and uncles, Robert Two Two, Jr., Richard Two Two, Beau Two Two and Eric Mesteth.
Javon was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lena Hart; great grandparents, Fred Mesteth, Jr., Sophie Killeaney, Mercy Rondeau, Bob Mesteth, Patricia Mesteth, Felix Good Shot, and Waldern Hayes; and great great grandparents, Emma Yellow Hawk, and Jake Yellow Hawk.
Pallbearers will be Jayson Looks Twice, Kaleb Siers, Alex Mousseaux, Jonathan Eagle Elk, Eric Mesteth, Elroy Catches, Jr., and Joe Mesteth, Jr.
