Graveside services for 53-year old Juanita Lavon (Stands) Linson are Friday, April 9, 2021 at 1:30 PM at the St. Peter’s Episcopal Cemetery on Lakeside Road near Oglala, SD, with traditional Lakota Services by Ronald Cross Dog
Viewing precedes the services from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge, SD.
Juanita Lavon (Stands) Linson was born on April 26, 1967 in Los Angeles, CA to Homer Stands and Louise (Porcupine) Stands. Juanita made her journey to the Spirit World on March 31, 2021 in Minneapolis, MN.
Juanita is survived by her daughters, Michelle Warrior and Chanelle Hollis; mother, Louise Stands; sons, Michael Warrior, Alexander Hollis, Marcus Jones, Burton Warrior, and Anthony Hollis; siblings, Homer Stands, Jr. and Perry Stands; sisters-in-law, Raelynn Stands and Doris Stands; and 12 grandchildren.
Juanita was preceded in death by her father, Homer Stands; and sister, Alanna Stands.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Hollis, Alexander Hollis, Burton Warrior, Marcus Jones, Michael Warrior, Taylor Stands, Sylas Gray Cloud, and Wambli Black Lance.
Honorary pallbearers will be all friends & relatives.
