Judy Kay Connell was born September 16, 1947 in Rushville. NE, to William T. and Mildred (Masek) Dawkins. She passed away on August 11th, 2022.

Judy grew up in Chadron and graduated from high school there in 1966.

She met her husband, Robert “Bob” Connell of Whitney and they were married May 26th, 1968, in Chadron. The couple had two children: Jill Lynn and Michael Wayne.

Judy and Bob moved to Sidney NE, and eventually to Scottsbluff after Bob graduated from Western Nebraska Community College. They opened an auto body business (Dent Tech) in 1986 and ran it until 2004.

Judy was active in league bowling and both she and Bob had teams sponsored by their business. In her final years, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and the rest of her family.

Judy had one brother, 2 nephews, and many aunts and uncles and cousins that she was very close to from childhood to adulthood.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Jill Connell of Fort Collins, CO, son Michael (Jaimie) Connell and three grandchildren: Jacob, Drake, and Gage all of Scottsbluff.

She’s also survived by her mother Mildred Dawkins of Chadron, her brother Bill Dawkins III of Chadron, his two children and grandchildren, and brother-in-law Bill (Joyce) Connell of Platte Center, NE, and their six children and many grandchildren.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Connell, an infant son, father and mother in-law Clarence and Mary Connell, and her father William T Dawkins II.

She is terribly missed by her family and friends.
