Funeral services for 56-year old Kenneth Fire Thunder are Thursday, October 7, 2021 at noon at the Fire Thunder residence in Yellow Bear, Allen, SD with The Rev Harold Eagle Bull officiating and traditional Lakota services by Mr Adam Little Elk

Burial is at Trinity Episcopal Cemetery in Yellow Bear, Allen

A one-night wake service starts Wednesday, October 6, at 4:00, also at the Fire Thunder residence 

Kenneth Eugene Fire Thunder was born on January 25, 1965 in Pine Ridge, SD to Reuben Fire Thunder and Pansy (Fire Place) Fire Thunder. Kenneth made his journey to the Spirit World on September 26, 2021 at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO.

Kenneth is survived by his daughters, Lisa Fire Thunder and Kelly Fire Thunder, both of Greensboro, NC; son, Johnny Fire Thunder; siblings, Elmer Fire Thunder, Charlene Fire Thunder, and Barbara Fire Thunder-Paul, all of Greensboro, NC, Donald Fire Thunder and Debbie Fire Thunder, both of Alliance, NE; aunt, Bertha Conroy; nieces, Teresia Paul-Jones, Summer Fire Thunder, Regina Red Bear, Teshay Fire Thunder, Renee Fire Thunder, Dana Fire Thunder, Tracy Tallman, Stephanie Fire Thunder, Darnella Nelson, and Jennifer Viergutz; nephews, Remigious Awolowo, John Awolowo, Michael Awolowo, Jr., Pete Paul, Jr., James Paul, Sr., Wayne Fire Thunder, Jr., Alex Fire Thunder, Duane Red Bear, Robert Fire Thunder, and Benjamin Iron Hawk; and grandchildren, Leslee Fire Thunder, Eduardo Fire Thunder, and Kimimila Fire Thunder.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben Fire Thunder and Pansy (Fire Place) Fire Thunder; sisters, Dorreen Fire Thunder and Betty Fire Thunder-Nelson; brothers, Thomas Fire Thunder, Wayne Fire Thunder, Donald Fire Thunder, Reuben Calvin Fire Thunder Jr, Myron Fire Thunder, Dewey George Fire Thunder, Craig Fire Thunder, and Leon Fire Thunder; paternal grandparents, Pete Fire Thunder & Lillian Milk-Richards; maternal grandparents, Dallas Fire Place & Emma Around Him; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces.

Pallbearers will be Donald Fire Thunder, Wayne Fire Thunder Jr, Matthew Awolowo, Benjamin Iron Hawk, Pete Paul, Sr., Byron Jones, and Jonathon Doyle.

Honorary pallbearers will be ALL of our many friends & relatives with a special thank you to Sioux Funeral Home, Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO, ICU Department, Palliative Care Unit, Family Liaison Unit, All the wonderful Doctors and Nurses, Pass Creek District President Anna Halverson, Pass Creek Day Employees, and Albert Red Bear.
