Kyle J. Parker was born on October 20, 1993, in Chadron, NE, to Kelly J. Parker and Lesa M. (Parker) Merrill. He passed away on April 5, 2021, at Fort Lupton, CO.
Kyle attended grades K-12 at Hay Springs Schools. After high school, Kyle earned his Diesel Tech Certification at WyoTech in Laramie, Wy.
While there he met Katie Paul. Kyle and Katie shared their love and lives until God called her home.
From the time Kyle entered our lives, he was truly a joy and a blessing. Most days he hit the ground running – playing, exploring, and working on projects, often with grease from head to toe.
Two of his favorite projects were building a wheelie bar for his bicycle with Gramps and building a go-kart with Dylan.
As Kyle moved on to bigger projects, he loved working on his Dodge Ramcharger, then more powerful trucks and pickups with diesel engines. He also liked fast cars and helped Dylan with the Drag Car.
Kyle was a very talented mechanic, diagnosing problems easily and fabricating his own tools when he needed to.
After graduating from WyoTech, Kyle worked in Laramie while Katie finished her degree. After Katie finished school, they moved to Strasburg, CO. While in Colorado, Kyle and Katie were involved in a tragic accident, and we lost Katie on Christmas Day 2017.
Kyle then moved to Gordon, NE for a short time, then to Hay Springs with Dylan. An opportunity came for Kyle to work with a few friends in Laramie for a short time, then he moved back to Colorado, this time to Bennett.
Kyle made many friends along the way and is considered to possibly be the best diesel tech around.
Throughout his journeys, Kyle enjoyed hanging out with family and friends, always helping them on their projects. He enjoyed coming back to Nebraska to hang out with family for holidays and birthdays and to work on his own pickup with Dylan.
Kyle had a beautiful heart; so kind and helpful to everyone he met. Kyle, we don’t want to say goodbye, so we will hold you close in our hearts—in a place no one else will EVER fill. We love you so, SO much Kyle.
Kyle is survived by his mom, Lesa M. Merrill (K. John Horrocks), Sister Carrie L (Dennis) Jacob; brother Dylan D. Parker (Cheyenne N. Agnes); nephew, Jaxon O. Jacob; Granddad Richard C. Merrill; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kyle was preceded in death by his Father, Kelly J. Parker; Fiancé Katie R. Paul Parker; cousins Christopher W. Parker, Owen B. Parker, and Hannah R. Hollibaugh; Grandmothers Vici J. Merrill, and Corale V. Parker; Grandfather William L. Parker; and Uncle Scott D. Parker.
