Lady Rams Drop Two

The Crawford Lady Rams dropped two games over the holiday break on the road at the North Platte Tournament.

Against South Platte in the tourney opener, the Lady Rams fell behind quickly as the Knights raced out to a 23-10 lead in the first quarter. South Platte continued to score in double digits for the remainder of the contest, while holding the Rams to single digits and cruised to the 65-29 victory.

Carly Lemmon led the Rams with eight points, and Skylar Summers grabbed five rebounds.

The Lady Rams faced Dundy County-Stratton in the second round, and looked to be on the way to victory early with an opening lead of 15-12 that they increased to 28-21 by half-time. A poor showing in the third quarter, however, let the Tigers take the lead and time ran out before Crawford could flip the scoreboard again. The Tigers earned a 50-44 win with the second half come-back.

Natalie Barry led the Lady Rams with 13 points, and Jasmine Dyer pulled down six rebounds.
