Lambert, Reid win rodeo events

Two local cowgirls took event titles at the high school rodeo in Broken Bow Sunday.

Jaycee Lambert of Harrison won the barrel racing, while Tatum Reid of Crawford topped the charts of the goat tying. Lambert posted a 15.353 to win the barrel competition and added to her point total in breakaway roping with a ninth-place finish with a time of 3.080. Reid earned the number one position in the goat tying with a 7.630 finish.

The two cowgirls also nabbed a pair of fifth-place finishes at the first Broken Bow rodeo Saturday. Lambert was fifth in breakaway that day with a 2.910, and Reid was fifth in goat tying, clocking an 8.720.

Fellow Harrison cowgirl Blaise Lange just missed the top 10 in two different events over the weekend. She was 11th in barrels Saturday with a 16.064, and she and team roping partner Rhett Flack of Crawford were 11th in that event with a 12.730.
