State lawmakers helped remove ice and snow from the Wyoming State Capitol in Cheyenne following last week’s historic winter storm that brought about 31” of snow to the city.
When House Speaker Eric Barlow, who lives near the building, learned on Sunday that water was dripping onto the House floor because of a ceiling vent that was blown open, he decided to act.
Barlow called State Representative Barry Crago, who also lives nearby, to help him and together they removed ice and snow that had built up inside the vent.
Senate President Dan Dockstader and Senator Affie Ellis also joined cleanups efforts at the Capitol, which reopened in July 2019 after a 3-½ year $300-million dollar renovation and restoration project.
