Visitation services for 96-year old Lenora Francis Watters are Monday, Oct 5, from 1-4:00 PM at the Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge, SD.
Burial Services will follow at 5:30 PM at St. Stephen’s Catholic Cemetery in Kyle, SD.
Lenora Francis Watters was born at home on October 24, 1923 in Jackson County to Leroy Janis and Josephine (Palmier) Janis. Lenora made her journey to the Spirit World on September 28, 2020 at the Hans P. Peterson Memorial Hospital in Philip, SD.
Lenora is survived by her daughter, Betty Watters; sons, Jack Janis and Dale Duenwald; 16 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces & nephews.
Lenora was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Josephine Janis; spouse, Jack Watters; daughter, Sherry Watters; son, William “Bill” Wayne Watters; and siblings, Leroy “Sunshine” Janis, Marion Gray, Margaret Janis-Sierra; Geraldine Janis, Gerald Janis, Wilbert Janis, Gilbert Janis, Donald Janis, Andre Janis, Aqualynne Janis, Lynn Mervin Janis, Delbert Janis, and Baby Boy Janis.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Watters, Brent Janis, Jay Janis, Duane Janis, Victor Janis, Donnie Janis, Robin Janis, John Eagle Bull, Louie Janis, and Todd Watters.
Honorary pallbearers will be all relatives and friends.
