Funeral services for 52-year old Leon Franklin “Toggy” Little Killer are Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 4:00 PM at the T&T Center in Wanblee, SD, with the Rev Harold Condon officiating and traditional Lakota services by Ms Darla Black and Mr Richard Moves Camp
Burial is at the Little Killer Family Cemetery in Wanblee
A two-night wake service starts Monday, August 16, at 2:00 PM, also at the T&T Center in Wanblee.
Leon Franklin Little Killer “Taunke Watogla” was born on June 28, 1969 in Pine Ridge, SD to Franklin and Matilda (Between Lodges) Little Killer. Leon made his journey to the Spirit World on August 7, 2021 near Wanblee, SD.
Leon is survived by his brother, Reginald Little Killer; sisters, Angelita Red Blanket, Corrine Little Killer, and Crissencia Little Killer; children, Newt Herrera, Derek Comes War, and Preston Black Bear; special friend, Melissa Yellow Hawk; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Matilda Little Killer; sister, Adelia Little Killer; sons, Owen Herrera and Baby Boy Medicine Blanket; maternal grandparents, Paul & Mary (Moves Camp) Between Lodges; and paternal grandparents, Leon and Margaret (Randall) Little Killer.
Pallbearers will be Steve McClure, Alexander Bettelyoun, Bill Lamont, Elgin Red Blanket, Allen Good, Reynold Randall, Bob Amiotte, Jim Meeks, Jacob Cottier, Bivien Torres, Troy Wilcox, Ryan Bear Killer, Andy Iron Horse, and Jarrod Iron Horse.
Honorary pallbearers will be all friends & relatives.
