Today is National Public Health Thank You Day with everyone encouraged to light their businesses, porches, and/or windows up in blue light to recognize public health officials and workers as heroes.
Nebraska Gov Pete Ricketts says those individuals “continue to show heroic grit and determination in the face of the ongoing pandemic.”
Ricketts is asking all residents to “join together and light a blue light to show their support for those who play a critical role in the health of Nebraskans.”
The Nebraska State Capitol is one of the public buildings lit in blue today as part of National Public Health Thank You Day.
