Burial services will be at the Fire Thunder Family Cemetery, also in Manderson.
A one-night wake service starts Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 3:00 PM at the #9 Community Church in Manderson, SD.
Lorne Michael Thunder Horse was born on January 27, 1983 in Pine Ridge, SD to Frankie Thunder Horse and Olivia (Fire Thunder) Grass. Lorne made his journey to the Spirit World on September 30, 2020 in Manderson. SD.
Lorne is survived by his mother, Olivia (Fire Thunder)Grass of Manderson, SD; father, Frankie Thunder Horse of Sioux Falls, SD; siblings, Miranda Thunder Horse of Rapid City, SD; Leonard Thunder Horse, Lonnie Thunder Horse, and Lloyd Thunder Horse all of Manderson, SD; nieces, Surenity Thunder Horse and Pte San Win Thunder Horse; nephews, Cyrus Thunder Horse, Leland Thunder Horse, and Michael Standing Soldier; grandfather, Robert Thunder Horse, Sr. of Wounded Knee, SD; uncles, Marvin Fire Thunder of Manderson, SD, Gilbert Thunder Horse of Sioux Falls, SD; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Lorne was preceded in death by his brother, Leland Thunder Horse; maternal grandparents, Victoria (White Butterfly) Fire Thunder and Edison Fire Thunder; paternal grandparents, Paul Thunder Horse and Shirley Yellow Horse; grandparents, Angelique Red Boy and Mark Fire Thunder; uncles, Mike and Martin Fire Thunder; and nephew, Riley Thunder Horse.
Pallbearers will be Bluch Fire Thunder, Jr., Kenneth Standing Soldier, Jr., Mario White Butterfly, Kevin Fire Thunder, Antone Long Soldier, Clayton Fire Thunder, William Jumping Eagle, Jr., and Chris Cuny.
