Funeral services for 77-year old Lorraine Eagle Elk are Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Porcupine Powwow Grounds in Porcupine, SD, with traditional Lakota Services by Mr Kirk Fool Bull and Mr Leonard Crow Dog

Burial Services are at the Body of Christ Church Cemetery in Porcupine

A one-night wake service starts Friday, September 4, 2020 at 2:00 PM, also at the Porcupine Powwow Grounds

Lorraine Winnie Eagle Elk was born on September 24, 1942 at home in Denby, SD to Chauncey White Face and Esther (Eagle Bear) White Face. Lorraine made her journey to the Spirit World on August 27, 2020 at her home in Porcupine, SD.

Lorraine is survived by her special friend, Leonard Brings Plenty; children, Florence (Chris) Benson, Lorraine Yellow Boy, Frank Yellow Boy, Renita Yellow Boy, Roger Eagle Elk, Regina Eagle Elk, Leo Eagle Elk, Rick Eagle Elk and Edward (Misha) Eagle Elk, Jr.; siblings, Elmer White Face, Esther (Robert Martinez) White Face, Manuel (Brenda Mercado) White Face, Blanche White Face, Chauncey (Harriett)White Face, Jr., David (Terry) White Face and Linda White Face; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Chauncey White Face, Sr. and Esther (Eagle Bear) White Face; husband, Edward Eagle Elk, Sr.; children, Ernestine “Wendy” Eagle Elk, Arimina “Bridgette” Eagle Elk and Remina Eagle Elk; and siblings, Emerson, Phinette and Linda Lou White Face, Ellen Reno American Horse, Richard, Benjamin and Seth White Face.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Kills Back, Hugh Kills Back, Jr., Adam Kills Back, Joel Thunder Hawk, Jordan Quick Bear, Urva Quick Bear, Jr., Aidan Quick Bear, Pedro Quick Bear, Christopher Benson, Michael Benson, Frank Yellow Boy III and Christopher Fredette.
