Louis Benjamin Swift Bird, Jr. was born on May 10, 1971 in Oakland, CA to Louis Benjamin Swift Bird, Sr. and Agnes Dubois-Swift Bird. Louis made his journey to the Spirit World on June 20, 2022 in Pine Ridge, SD.
Louis is survived by his son, Issac Swift Bird, Joshua Swift Bird, and Louis Benjamin Swift Bird III; siblings, Matthew Swift Bird, Audie Swift Bird, Cactus Swift Bird, John Lohnes, Mary Lohnes, and Chaske Swift Bird, and Charmaine Swift Bird; grandchildren, Mason and Leah Swift Bird; aunts, Carla Pittman, Julie Little Hawk, and Vanetta Swift Bird; uncles, Pete Swift Bird, Joe Swift Bird, and Curtis Swift Bird; and numerous grandchildren.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Benjamin Swift Bird, Sr. and Agnes Dubois-Swift Bird; brothers, Mark Shaw and Vincent Shaw, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Lilly DuBois and Fred DuBois; paternal grandparents, Joseph Swift Bird, Sr. and Cynthia Swift Bird; uncle, Chuck Swift Bird; aunt, Wanda Barrett; and great grandparents, Stella Red Star-Swift Bird and George Swift Bird.
Pallbearers will be Shaun Sierra, Darrell “Chipper” Goings, Sr., Raymond Bald Eagle, Gideon Youngman, Chuck Barrett, Martin Randall, Alfred Catches, Jeremy Hollow Horn and Tim Poor Bear.
