Lusk Sends Solid Contingent To State Track

Wyoming hosted its regional track and field meets over the weekend and Lusk will send nine individuals and three relays to the state meet in Casper.

The Lusk boys filled up field events and relays. The Tigers 4x100m and 4x800m relay teams have qualified for state.

Aiden Applegarth will carry the 2nd best 2A leap in the long jump and Dylan Molzahn is top 5 in the shot put.

Caleb Miller is on his way in the high jump and Nathan Fish and David West earned their way in the pole vault.

Melody and Gracie ZumBrunnen are carrying the Lusk girls to Casper as the duo qualified in seven events. Melody will compete in the 100m, 200m, long jump, and 4x100m relay. Gracie is in the 100m, 400m, 4x100m relay, and high jump.

Jasmine Ludwig will double up with the 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles and is also a part of the 4x100m relay. Jaden Stauffer is the other member of the relay team.

Distance runner Callie Taylor will head to state in the 1600m and 3200m runs with a top two time in each event.

The state meet will get started on Thursday at Casper Natrona High School.
