Matte Coy Bad Heart Bull “Kuseya Najin” was born on Jan 31, 1974, in Pine Ridge, SD to Matthew Kayo Bad Heart Bull and Eleanor (Hart) Bad Heart Bull. Matte Coy made his journey to the Spirit World on April 29, 2022 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
Matte Coy is survived by his spouse, Maria (Little Boy) Bad Heart Bull; daughters, Harley Bad Heart Bull, Emiliea Villa, and Wichoni Little Boy; sons, Antone Bad Heart Bull, Anfernee Bad Heart Bull, and Matthew E. Bad Heart Bull; siblings, Kim Bad Heart Bull, Doyle Bad Heart Bull, Ken Hart, Marty Hart, Elaine Provost, Lyndan Stone, and Tiffany Stone; godsons, Tyriece Two Lance and Ryan Two Lance; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Matte Coy was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew “Kayo” Bad Heart Bull and Eleanor (Hart) Bad Heart Bull; grandparents, Eli Bad Heart Bull, Cecelia Left Hand Bear, and Kenneth and Ella Hart; one daughter; and aunts & uncles, John Banley, Seth Bad Heart Bull, Vincent Bad Heart Bull, Amos Bad Heart Bull, Julius Bad Heart Bull, Hattie Running Hawk, Tina Long Black Cat, Paula Loud Hawk, Sam and Angie Loud Hawk, Stella Loud Hawk, Suzanna Brings Plenty, and Lucy Bad Heart Bull.
Pallbearers will be Hinhan Loud Hawk, Lance Fills Pipe, Ed Flute, Michael Weston, Daniel Velazquez, Ryan Two Lance, Tyriece Two Lance, and Elgin Bad Heart Bull, Jr.
