A one-night wake service starts at 4:00 PM, Sunday, Dec 19, 2021 at 4:00, also at the Woyatan Lutheran Church in Rapid City
Merle Thomas Left Hand Bull “Ta’Tanka Ta’blo-kA Na’pe Ca’tku” was born on May 11, 1951 in Rosebud, SD to Alfred Left Hand Bull and Jeanette White Eyes. Merle made his journey to the Spirit World on December 4, 2021 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Merle is survived by his companion, Lessa Peters-Montgomery; children, Accaline Left Hand Bull, Merleita Left Hand Bull, Winter Rose Left Hand Bull, and Casus Peters-Left Hand Bull; cousins, Red Bear Tiyospaye, Left Hand Bull Tiyospaye, and Crow Dog Tiyospaye.
Merle was preceded in death by numerous ancestors.
Pallbearers will be Jonathon Old Horse, Mike Foote, Ralph Bear Killer, John Montgomery, Delaney Apple, Justin Baker, Austin Little Shield, Robert Rattling Chase, Tyrell Salway, Mike Cross, Coleman Eagle Elk, Nate Big Fire, Delbert Peters, Gene Tyon, Hermus Bettelyoun, Dave Fuller, A.J. High Pipe, Lee Horn Antelope, and Beaver Richards.
