Michael Anthony Mesteth “Inyan Hoksila” was born on July 28, 1984 in Pine Ridge, SD to Tyrone Mesteth, Sr. and Cheryl Locke. Michael made his journey to the Spirit World on September 25, 2021 at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
Michael is survived by his mother, Cheryl Locke; daughters, Dionne Mesteth and Maliyah DuBray; siblings, Travis Mesteth, Sr., Hobert Locke, and Kimberly Mesteth; grandmother, Georgia Tail; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, & nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Tyrone Mesteth, Sr.; brother, Tyrone Mesteth, Jr.; cousins, Maria Afraid of Hawk; Michael Afraid of Hawk, Michelle Afraid of Hawk, Kyle Mesteth, Alan Locke, Karen Mesteth, Lolita Mesteth, Eric Brown Bull, and Ceriol Locke; grandparents, Matthew Mesteth, Sr. and Frank & Gladys Locke; aunts, Ellowyn Locke and Frances Afraid of Hawk; and uncle, Duane Locke.
