Visitation services for 61-year old Michael Standing Soldier are Saturday Sept 5, 2020, from 10:00-Noon at the Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge, SD.
Burial services will follow at 2:00 PM at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Hisle, SD, with a luncheon to follow at the Martin City Park in Martin, SD.
Memorial services will be a week later on Saturday, Sept 12, 2020, from 11:00 – 1:00 PM at the Cherry Rock Park in Sioux Falls, SD, with traditional Lakota services by Mr Rick Two Dogs
The Family requests everyone in attendance at any of the services to please wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Michael Dean Standing Soldier was born on January 5, 1959 in Pine Ridge, SD to Robert Standing Soldier and Delores (Little Killer) Standing Soldier. Michael made his journey to the Spirit World on September 1, 2020 at his home in Sioux Falls, SD.
Michael is survived by his wife, Clara Jacob; children, Mica Standing Soldier, Iris Jacob and Mato Standing Soldier; siblings, Norman, Mary, Gloria, Alice and Richard Standing Soldier, Juanita Rodriguez, Nostalgia Wright and Phyllis Myers; hunka siblings, Bud Walling, Stanley No Heart, Hank Means and Theresa Henry; grandchildren, Ifetayo Bolds Jacob, Ozioma Bolds Jacob and Chetachi Bolds Jacob; and aunts, Geraldine Shangreaux, Marie Shangreaux, Leona Richards, and Barbara Ann Smith.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Delores Standing Soldier; and brothers, Tim and Arnold Standing Soldier.
Pallbearers will be All Nieces & Nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be All Friends & Relatives.
