Nancy Laura Little Hawk “Anpo Wicahpi Ito’heya Hoye Winyan” was born on January 15, 1956 in Pine Ridge, SD to Richard Little Hawk, Sr. and Irene Under Baggage. Nancy made her journey to the Spirit World on February 22, 2021 at her home in Pine Ridge, SD.
Nancy is survived by her children, Starlite Hill of Browns Valley, MN, Mato Winska Hill-Poor Bear of Allen, SD, Morning Star Hill and Murray Hill, Jr., and MaKayla Hill, all of Rapid City, SD; hunka children, Dayton Hill, Sidney White, Kaden Hill, Elisa White, Kiyana Hill and Josie Hill, all of Rapid City, SD; siblings, Elizabeth Rowland-Leftwich, Richard Little Hawk, Jr., Antonia “Simone” Little Hawk, Sonia Little Hawk-Weston and Delores, Mona, Connie, Marvin and Howard Little Hawk, all of Pine Ridge, SD and Dale Patton of Rapid City, SD; aunts/uncles, Violet (Little Hawk) Alford Bennett & Family, Bessie Little Hawk Waters & Family, Stanley Little Hawk & Family, and Charles Little Hawk & Family; cousins, Alberta, Marlin & Glorianna, William & Megan, Mary, Marvene, Arnel, Donnetta, Marla, Richard, James, and Terrance & Marlene Under Baggage, and Doyla Under Baggage-Lundstrom, Marlyce Anderson; granddaughter, Caitlin Rencountre; nephew, Tony Corbine; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Little Hawk, Sr. and Irene Under Baggage; children, Jolene Little Hawk and Hanwiyapa Hill; sister, Deborah Little Hawk; hunka sister, Charlotte Kills Straight; granddaughter, Esperanza (Hill) Moreno; and grandparents, Charles Little Hawk, Sr., Ellaria Sierra-Little Hawk, Charles Under Baggage, and Nancy Takes Enemy-Under Baggage.
