Dawes County Attorney/Coroner Vance Haug says a Whitney man found dead in his home on Christmas Eve apparently died of natural causes.
Haug says the Dawes County Sheriff’s Office found the body of 75-year old Richard Waltman while doing a welfare check after he hadn’t been or heard from for several days.
Haug concluded after an investigation of evidence at the scene, a review of Waltman’s medical history, and interviews of witnesses and medical personnel that he had been dead for several days and that foul play was not suspected.
