
Friday’s COVID-19 report was a deadly one with Nebraska Health and Human Services counting 43 deaths to bring the state toll to 897.
Nebraska reported 2,381 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday against only 720 recoveries as the number of active cases rose to another new record at 53,159.
The number of coronavirus patients needing hospitalization rose by 4 to 987 while the percentage of available ICU beds slipped a point to 22%. Available ventilators dropped 5 points to 71% and hospital beds stayed at 27% available.
Nebraska has had 111,661 confirmed coronavirus and 56,605 recoveries since the start of the pandemic.
