The number of active COVID-19 cases in Nebraska grew again on Monday, reaching 12,926 with 271 hospitalized, 22 more than Sunday and a new high for the state.
Nebraska Health and Human Services reported 452 new cases, 2 deaths, and 217 recoveries on Monday, bringing the state totals to 48,259 cases with 34,830 recoveries and 503 deaths.
The availability of hospital beds and ICU beds dropped while ventilators rose. The percentage of all hospital beds fell from 35% to 33% and ICU beds from 33% to 30% while the percentage of ventilators went up from 78% to 79%.
