Preliminary findings by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention suggest that the death of a Nebraska man last month and the first dose of the COVID vaccine he’d received 1-to-2 weeks earlier were unrelated.
Dr Gary Anthone, Nebraska’s chief medical officer, tells the Omaha World-Herald that a CDC official conveyed that finding to him directly shortly after Nebraska Health and Human Services released word of the death last week.
The man was in his 40s, had several underlying health conditions, and lived in a long-term care facility
