An inmate at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution died at a Lincoln hospital Monday.
The Nebraska Department of Corrections said in a release that 60 year old Sean Barrett died after being treated for a medical condition.
Barrett was serving a 60 year sentence out of Douglas County for second degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony. His sentence began on April 9th of 2012.
As is the case whenever an inmate dies in the custody of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services a grand jury will conduct an investigation.
