Nebraska Revenue Continuing To Run Ahead Of Projections Posted by John Axtell Date: February 14, 2020 3 Views LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) – Nebraska had more net state tax revenue than expected again last month, continuing the pattern for every month this fiscal year. The Nebraska Dept of Revenue says the state in January received net taxes of $468 million dollars, $45-million or 13.3% above the official state forecast. The increase was driven by sharply higher sales-and-use tax revenue, which offset lower-than-expected individual and corporate income taxes and miscellaneous taxes. Nebraska continues to run above projections for the fiscal year, which began July 1. The $2.96 billion dollars is $273-million or 7% over the official estimate made in April of last year by the state Economic Forecasting Advisory Board.
