Nebraska Starting Coronavirus Aid Grants For Non-Profits

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) – Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts has announced a new program to provide direct financial assistance to charitable and provider organizations who have experienced loss or increase in expenses because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Community Cares Program is funded by some of the $1.25-billion dollars in federal coronavirus relief funds received by Nebraska and will offer 3 grant opportunities for non-profits, behavioral health authorities and entities, childcare providers, licensed exempt subsidies, and centers of worship.

Information, guidelines and application information for the Community Cares Program grants will be posted on DHHS website dhhs.ne.gov/Pages/covid-19-community-cares.aspx.
