There were 1,321 new cases and 1,005 recoveries with the number of active cases rising to 68,033 including 781 hospitalized.That’s 6 fewer hospitalized patients than Tuesday and the fourth time in the last 5 days the number has been under 800 after spending a month over 800. The percentage of available ICU beds dropped 3 points to 23%, available ventilators slipped 2 points to 69%, and total hospital beds went down by 1 point to 27% Nebraska has had 143,924 total cases and 74,597 recoveries since the beginning of the pandemic. Panhandle Unified Command reported 91 new cases and 116 recoveries with no deaths. The number of active cases dropped to 1,740 including 54 that are hospitalized. There have been 6,713 confirmed cases with 4,376 4,891 recoveries and 82 deaths since the pandemic began. Dawes County reported 11 new cases and 7 recoveries, resulting in 54 active cases, 511 total cases, and 17 deaths. Chadron State College had one new student case, bringing the number of active cases to 2, both students, with 142 total cases, including 117 students. The Chadron Public Schools are unchanged with 1 active case at the high school and no quarantines. Box Butte County has 714 confirmed cases with 113 active and 7 deaths, Sheridan County stands at 311 cases, 52 active, and 6 deaths while Sioux County is unchanged at 20 cases with 2 active and 1 death.
