17-Year old Kianna Healy Of Hartford Crowned Miss SD’s Outstanding Teen

     17-year old Kianna Healy of Harford is the new Miss South Dakota’s Outstanding Teen Pageant. Healy, competing as Miss SIouxland’s OT, was crowned Saturday afternoon in Huron.  

      The talent winner with a vocal solo, she now advances to the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen competition July 27-30 in Orlando, Florida. 

        Healy received a total of $2,250 in scholarships, which she will use as a freshman this fall at the University of South Dakota. .

      1st-runner up was Miss Missouri Valley’s OT, 17-year old Rio Snyder of Black Hawk, who also won the Lifestyle and Wellness and won the Community Service Award for a total of $1,350 in scholarships.

       14-year old Karina Novotny of Hot Springs, Miss Fall River Balloon Festival’s OT was the 2nd-runner up, 

      16-year old Miss State Fair’s OT Danielle Nowell of Hitchcock was 3rd-runner up, with 16-year old Javonte Madsen of Rapid City, Miss Huron’s OT, the 4th-runner up.

      Miss Hot Springs OT Hayden Widvey of Rapid City, was voted Miss Congeniality by her fellow candidates and received a $250 scholarship for that honor.

      The 2020 pageant was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, resulting in a 2-year term for Payton Steffenson of Yankton.
