Bail has been set at $250,000 cash-only for a Rapid City woman who admits fatally stabbing her husband in an apartment on Tuesday.
       34-year old Ashley Peltier is charged with 2nd-degree murder in the death of 30-year old James Rice, who is also known at Stanley Kennard III. Rice received a single stab wound to the heart and died the next day in the hospital.
A probable cause affidavit says Peltier called police and said she’d just stabbed her husband during an argument to make a point. She also said she didn’t feel threatened and that he didn’t have a weapon.
