Candidate Declares For Neb Legislature District 48 Seat

Gering businessman Brian Hardin is the first person to announce a run next year for the legislature’s 48th District, now held by State Senator John Stinner of Gering, who is term-limited.

Hardin, a 1984 Gering High School graduate, says he’s conservative, pro-life, and believes smaller government is better government because “big government” and “Big Tech” have infringed on the individual rights of Americans – especially the 1st and 2nd Amendments.

Hardin says his priorities if elected are job creation and economic growth, areas where he has 21 years of experience as a business consultant in strategic planning, financial service, insurance plan design, and commercial child care.

He says agriculture remains the economic engine that drives Nebraska even as political power continues to concentrate in the urban areas of the eastern part of the state, and he wants to do all he can to help it grow.
