Car Accident East Of Chadron Kills Scottsbluff Man

Scottsbluff man was killed in a single vehicle accident east of Chadron on Highway 20 around 10:00 pm Thursday night.

According to a report released by Dawes County Attorney/Coroner Vance Haug, authorities believe the vehicle lost control on icy roads and rolled, killing the driver, 20 year old Adam Hawk of Scottsbluff.

Two passengers, 24 year old Roman Pesina and 20 year old Jacob Schaub, both of Scottsbluff, were transported to Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

Haug says it’s not know if speed or alcohol were a contributing factor to the accident.

Chadron Fire and Rescue, the Dawes County Sheriff’s Office, the Nebraska State Patrol, and ambulatory services were all called to assist.

An investigation is on going and any additional information will be released when appropriate.
