CHADRON – The Chadron Community Hospital and Health Services board of directors has named Nathan Hough as Chief Executive Officer. He will assume administrative responsibilities for the hospital, Prairie Pines Lodge, and rural outreach clinics on May 12.
Chadron Community contracts with Regional West Health Services for a variety of administrative services, including management. Regional West conducted the search process and the Chadron Community Board confirmed the selection of Hough.
Board Chair Kerry Bailey says they welcome Hough to the hospital family and the Chadron community, adding that his health care expertise and experience will be very helpful to them.
Hough has been CEO of Crook County Medical Services District in Sundance, Wyo, CEO of Niobrara County Hospital District in Lusk, Wyo, and CEO of Saratoga Care Center in Saratoga, Wyo with healthcare leadership roles in Montana and Minnesota.
He has experience with critical access hospitals, long-term care facilities, medical groupns, and health care information technology systems.
Hough is originally from Minnesota and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
Chadron Community has been without a permanent ceo since Jeff Shelton resigned late last year, just a couple months after being named to the post. Alan Gamble had served as interim CEO since the resignation of Anna Turman in December 2018.
